The building of Russian Orthodox Church in Florence was designed by two architects Preobrashenskij and Boccini and looks similar in appearance with the St Basil’s cathedral in Moscow.

The interior of the Russian Orthodox Church in Florence (Via Leone) is richly decorated with mural paintings in Byzantine eclecticism style. They are very impressive and contribute to the diversity of the heritage diversity in the motherland of Renaissance – the city of Florence.

Bari, where I went actually just because of Saint Nicholas, impressed me very much. I did not expect and I had never seen before such deep and many-sided contrasts of a city……..

historical spirit of Roman times – and noise of modern city in 15 minutes to walk….

dazzling white stone walls of old houses, palm-trees and azure sea….

And I also found how to live nearest to the sun ))

I thought this was rather annoying at the time of the picture because it was making the traffic move slowly and it was hot, but now looking back I think it’s rather funny and fair to allow everbody on the road with their own unique form of transportation.

I like that Indonesia it is emphasized to protect the animals that are part of the same world as us. It is possibly an aspect of their culture that is influenced by the religion practiced there.

I would argue that anything that is completely out of the ordinary for someone is probably a representation of an altogether different culture. You could go thirty miles and see a completely different society or you could go to Indoneisa and have a monkey pinch your nose, hard…either way it’s experiencing a new culture.

These girls were part of a group that did a performance at a safari camp, it was beautiful to watch the girls having fun displaying typical zulu dance. Very lively.

The battle of Grunwald

The Battle of Grunwald was one of the greatest battles of medieval Europe. On 15 July 1410, Polish and Lithuanian armies (supported by Rusyns, Czech, Moldovans and Tartars) opposing the Teutonic Order with knights from all over Europe. On that day, about 50,000 men arrived at the battlefield.

The re-enactment of the battle takes place every year. This unique historical performance is carried out with participation of knights from Poland, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and the USA. Almost 1,500 knights!

2010 is a special year, since mid-July marks the 600th anniversary of the victory of the Polish and Lithuanian armies over the Teutonic Order. Hurry up, you still have chance to see it
